Not just the march itself, but prior to that there had been unrest from the fans for a while towards the board.

Can you be more specific? Not that I don't believe you as I'm sure there's something in it.

Re: Moyes out
Moyes isn't the issue. The issues are what's going on off the field which is filtering through to the players on the pitch!

Re: Moyes out
Hasn't Moyes got a lot to prove? Not exactly be good on his CV having another team relegated from the PL. Also I'm sure he's on a bonus to keep us up. I think the problem is the incentives for the players.

I think Collins, Noble, Rice and Arnie care. The others not so.

I think Lanzini will be off now. Can't blame him really.

I am far more worried about the attitude of some of our players .

Re: Moyes out
Tony Cotee said it best when he heard Moyes was getting a 6 month contract he knew it would not work and said as much, he too thought that a six month contract for someone you wish to turn around the fortunes of a team as stupid because players will not respect the Manager, as they know he is just sticky tape.
Moyes as much as I hate him and think he is wrong for the club deserved to be backed properly with a two year contract at least and backing to buy whoever he felt was right.

HairyHammer 3:58 Mon Mar 5
Re: Moyes out
You give someone a 6 month contract to manage the team that in itself is a terrible start, and then you sell two first team players and do not replace them with quality, you should buy as your squad is paper thin but you chose not to, why? probably because of two things arrogance and Cheapness add to that stupidity, you do not listen to the fans or team manager and run the club like Arthur Daley and Del boy, my question is this, How can anyone manage a team without confidence in him by the owners and with low morale in the team itself.

Moyes is not the one at fault, he has owners who do not care enough and sadly some players who do not care enough either.
I am not saying the man does not make mistakes or that he is a great manager I am saying we should all know the score regarding our owners. You could bring Alf Ramsey back and Ron Greenwood too or Morhino and Pep they would all struggle simply because the club is run in such an amateurish way.

Re: Moyes out
I don't mind him as a bloke but his approach to games is completely against how I like the game played. we had enough safety first shit with allardyce, one difference being we never shipped as many goals with him in charge but as I said when bilic was here, it doesn't matter who's the manager while vilechaize is still buying the players

Yeah well summed up there.

I think we all know what will happen though.

Re: Moyes out
Moyes spent the January window saying how we were light in quality in midfield and didn’t need a striker - He then spent the majority of his budget on a championship no mark striker to sit on the bench, and has since dropped last season’s HOTY winger so he can shoehorn in a disgraced out of contract 36 year old defender to play wingback.

Then there is letting Fonte go after loaning out Burke and Oxford.

If we go down, we have no-one else to blame and this idiot along with Sullivan doesn’t deserve another day in football.

Yep, well summed up. But they are likely to keep the cunt and we know why too.

Re: Moyes out
If the board had any bollocks they would line up Marco Silva now and get him in pronto. Moyes has proved to be what we all knew he would be; bland and unadventurous. We are also so inconsistent under him. One week we look solid another week we look like Bambi on Ice.

They should say to him you haven't achieved what we wanted and by now we should be safe. We are moving you on and getting in someone who can do what we want.

Moyes was damaged good when we took him and he still is.

Fucking desperate and pitiful appointment from the off.

Fucking hate this club right now.

Re: Moyes out
Second mistake/misjudgement by Moyes ( hindsight a perfect science) was to not put Kouyate alongside Rice? They scored 2 from corners and its rare we concede from corners and set pieces. One of the few things we've been ok at. Of course the root cause is lack of midfield options although Mario or Cullen could have come on. Would it have made much difference? Maybe as Kouyate tends to get his head on things and is a decent CB and where he should be playing IMO if we are to play the bloke because he simply is not good enough technically and lacks the work ethic for central midfield. Hopefully the debate on that is over once and for all? :-)

Sadly Alf, the debate is pointless, because successive managers have a complete blind spot on him, and so do the majority of our fans. They came out in force bigging him up after the 2 halfs of decent football he has had this season, but they then go missing for the next 10 games when he is utterly, utterly useless. I said when he was appointed the biggest gripe I’d have with Moyes is if he doesn’t solve this problem of playing a midfielder who is rubbish at creating space and with the ball at his feet, but unfortunately he loves players who can head the ball, so we are stuck with this chump, especially with Obiang out and Mario being weak as piss.

When he plays, we have easily the worst central midfield in the Premier League.

Re: Moyes out
This is not a relegation scrap squad and Moyes has proven himself not to be a relegation scrap manager.

We could well go down.

Re: Moyes out
Evra looked a lot more lively against Liverpool.

Not up for it against lowly Swansea?

The worst kind of attitude for a team in a relegation battle.

Sir Alf 12:22 Mon Mar 5
Re: Moyes out
He got the choice of Evra over Antonio wrong. That was a mistake. Now in the interest of balance perhaps he/the coaching team and fitness gurus are easing Antonio back into things as he had been breaking down with hamstrings and other injuries all season. That's being kind but maybe the Moyes thinking was Evra on to keep us tight defensively.

Trouble is it all went to sh*t in 2 moments. The long range effort from the Chinese or Korean fella and then the injury to Reid.

At 1 down we were struggling but the loss of Reid was a problem especially with no fit CBs on the bench.

So Moyes may have been able to limit the damage and kept us in it with different subs? Who knows and no one will ever know. It just seemed that midfield was being overrun and we had no answer. The squad is truly woeful in that area.

Re: Moyes out
As was said many times when he was appointed, it is almost irrelevant who the manager is now. We could have Pep Guardiola managing us and he'd be offered some shit loan signings or has-beens in (or after) the window.

I no longer care, until they are gone.

but still, the queue waiting times at the bar at half time have come down eh?

Re: Moyes out
Moyes will turn out to be one of those managers who make a very good living out of what can only be described as failure . Allardyce, Pardew , mcleash, Pulis, SVG , Hodgson . Fuck it up , get sacked , huge payoff!

Allardyce lite

Only difference is Moyes probably isn't a vile human. But football wise, they're two peas in a classless, boring, stinking pod
